The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum's All for the Hall fundraiser will return to Los Angeles for the first time in nearly three years. The event, which will take place on Tuesday, March 4, at Club Nokia, will again follow a 'guitar pull' format, featuring performances by Country Music Hall of Fame members Vince Gill and Emmylou Harris, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members Heart and Grammy Award-winning artist Jason Mraz. Acclaimed actress/singer/film producer Rita Wilson will host the event.
PROFILE THEATRE has announced the titles for its 2014 In Dialogue Staged Reading Series, a program intended to explore and augment the mainstage season of plays by Sam Shepard. The plays are HUNGRY by Amy Claussen, BUENA VISTA by Edith Freni, and A LIE OF THE MIND by Sam Shepard. Neil Berg will co-chair a committee, along with his friends Frank Wildhorn (Composer), Stephanie J. Block (Broadway Star), and Capathia Jenkins (Broadway Star), for a new type of fundraising event for Covenant House International. It is called Sleep Out: Broadway Edition, and on August 17th, the committee, along with many others in the NY Theater Community, will be spending an entire night sleeping on the streets of NYC to raise money and awareness for Covenant House's mission. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have also joined the project as honorary chairs.
