Lin-Manuel Miranda continues his longstanding support of movies at the United Palace in Washington Heights with a $100K donation for a new DCP projection system that will produce a Hollywood-quality image. He will debut the new projector on October 16 with a screening of the original Mary Poppins, which he will introduce. The classic 1964 Disney movie has been selected because later this year Lin-Manuel Miranda is temporarily relocating to London to begin shooting Mary Poppins Returns.

The Santa Barbara Center for the Performing Arts (SBCPA) is pleased to announce the return of The Elmer Bernstein Memorial Film Series for its third season. This year's series will launch with a screening of the comedy classic, Animal House, on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 7pm.
Just announced, Tony and Drama Desk Award winner Cady Huffman will end her run in Off-Broadway's Shear Madness on August 21st. Cady assumed the role of Mrs. Shubert June 20th. She will be replaced by Lisa McMillan. Also joining the cast is Gil Brady replacing Adam Gerber in the role of Eddie Lawrence. The producers are have also announced a new batch of tickets on sale through January 8th, 2017.
