Tickets for the Broadway at the National 2016-17 season go on sale Friday, September 16 at 10 a.m.

During my week in New York, I had the amazing opportunity to interview Harvey Evans! He was a Jet in West Side Story on Broadway and in the movie, and danced alongside legends such as Gwen Verdon, Chita Rivera, and Ann Margret. Harvey was so sweet and kind to talk to, and here are my questions and his responses!

In the inaugural year of its Summer Soiree, The Music Center pays tribute to Rita Moreno, an extraordinary woman who has fearlessly helped redefine the role of women in the performing arts.

The Southland Theatre Artists Goodwill Event (S.T.A.G.E.) Benefit titled Sondheim 5, took place June 18th at Beverly Hills' beautiful Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in benefit of AIDS Project Los Angeles.  The much anticipated event, was once again directed by David Galligan.  Michael Orland served as Musical Director, with Choreography by Lee Martino; and BroadwayWorld TV's own Michael Sterling was on hand to talk to the stars just prior to their first of two performances.

Fiddler on the Roof's violin soloist, Kelly Hall-Tompkins, will perform a pre-show concert at a special event screening of the 1971 film of Fiddler on the Roof on Monday, June 27th at the United Palace of Cultural Arts (4140 Broadway at W. 175th St.. THE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL THEATRE AWARDS (NHSMTA)/JIMMY AWARDS has announced that 62 high school students from across America will compete for the Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actor and Actress at the eighth annual awards ceremony. The presentation will take place on Monday, June 27th at 7:30PM at the Minskoff Theatre, 200 West 45th Street in Manhattan. Tickets can be purchased by visiting NHSMTA.COM or TICKETMASTER.COM and range from $39 to $89. Premium seats are $250.

Prolific filmmaker Steven Spielberg reveals that a remake of WEST SIDE STORY is currently in the works, featuring a script by Tony Kushner.

The Morrisson Theatre Chorus, under the musical direction of Cesar Cancino, will present its Summer Concert: FROM NEAR AND FAR: MUSIC FROM AROUND THE WORLD on July 22 and 23 at 8:00pm and July 24 at 2:00pm.

A panel of nationally recognized judges, include casting director Michael Donovan; producer, director and choreographer Andy Ferrara; and actress Wendy Rosoff, announced the 2016 winners of The Rita Moreno California High School Musical Honors held at San Jose's Center for the Performing Arts on Monday, May 23.
