Dark Prophet Productions will present the New York premiere of Stuck, a new musical with book, music and lyrics by Riley Thomas. Stuck centers on six strangers trapped on a stalled New York City subway who discover they're not so different after all. It will be presented at the 45th Street Theater as part of the 2012 New York Musical Theatre Festival.
THE LUCKY ONE is coming to theaters on April 20th from Warner Bros. Pictures. The romantic drama is written by Nicholas Sparks and Will Fetters and directed by Scott Hicks. The film stars Zac Efron, Taylor Schilling, Blythe Danner, Jay R. Ferguson, Riley Thomas Stewart and Adam LeFevre.
Vital Theatre Company will bring back THE BULLY, with music and lyrics by John Gregor, book by David L. Williams, and directed by Linda Ames Key. The show will run Saturdays and Sundays at 11am and 1pm beginning January 14th through February 26th, 2012, with weekday school holiday performances on January 16th and 27th and February 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd at 11am and 1pm. The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) today announced the selections for the 2012 Next Link Project, NYMF's primary writer service program. The Next Link Project empowers emerging musical theatre writing teams as both artists and entrepreneurs by providing the training and relationships needed to help them move their musicals from readings to fully-realized productions and to advance their careers by maximizing the exposure they receive in the Festival. Ten of the Festival's full production slots are reserved for participants in The Next Link Project.
