The day-by-day schedules for next weekend's (January 17, 18 and 19) 30A SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL featuring more than 150 songwriters and over 200 performances at more than 20 venues

In 2013 Joe's Pub at The Public launched its 15th Anniversary season and was named one of the top ten music venues in the country by Rolling Stone magazine. It was a busy year, and there are no signs of slowing down in 2014. With a new sound system, record-setting ticket sales and some of the most eclectic programming New York City has to offer, Joe's Pub continues to set the standard for showcase venues worldwide.

The 30A SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL has announced the full line-up for the January 17, 18 and 19, 2014event set to take place at venues along northwest Florida's scenic Highway 30A and the resort neighborhoods of South Walton. The 5th annual celebration will feature performances from such esteemed artists as Kristian Bush (Sugarland), Loudon Wainwright III, Ani DiFranco, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Richard Thompson, Shawn Mullins, John Oates, Jerry Douglas, Rusty Young (Poco), Jonathon Edwards, Jesse Harris, Craig Fuller (Pure Prairie League), John Gorka, Mary Gauthier, James McMurtry, Bob Schneider, Glenn Phillips Band, Matthew Sweet, Jeffrey Steele, Jim Lauderdale, Jimbo Mathus (Squirrel Nut Zippers) and Tinsley Ellis.

Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Mary Chapin Carpenter will make her New York Philharmonic debut in Mary Chapin Carpenter with the New York Philharmonic and Special Guests, a retrospective program featuring songs from throughout her career, some newly arranged for orchestra.

AOP (American Opera Projects), and the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture will co-present an evening of scenes from Nkeiru Okoye's folk opera Harriet Tubman: When I Crossed That Line to Freedom that tells of how a young girl born in slavery, becomes Harriet Tubman, the legendary Underground Railroad conductor. The musical excerpts will be followed by an artist Q&A moderated by WQXR's Terrance McKnight. The concert will be presented today, December 9, 2013 at 6:30 PM at the Langston Hughes Auditorium: 515 Malcolm X Boulevard, New York, NY 10037-1801.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust announces new shows have been added to the 2014 performance schedule at the Benedum Center and Byham Theater. Wells Fargo Center for the Arts welcomes the holiday season in the newly renovated Ruth Finley Person Theater (50 Mark West Springs Road, Santa Rosa) with a lineup of celebrated music, comedy, dance and family performances. The 2013-2014 season is well underway and continues with a performance featuring the talents of singer-songwriters Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell with Richard Thompson (November 2), the classic vocals of nine-time Grammy award winner Natalie Cole (November 24) and rounds out 2013 with a celebration of the holiday season, including Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker (December 18 and 19) and The Brian Setzer Orchestra: Christmas Rocks 10th Anniversary Tour! (December 26). Since its reopening in August, after a $2.8 million renovation, the Ruth Finley Person Theater has showcased a variety of talent from Patti LaBelle to Lewis Black to The Beach Boys.

Acclaimed local guitarist Ric Hordinski has been added as the opening act for the upcoming Cincinnati engagement of The California Guitar Trio (CGT) at the Aronoff Center's intimate Jarson-Kaplan Theater for one night only on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 8:00 PM. The concert is presented by the Cincinnati Arts Association as the first presentation in its 2013-14 Season.

Today, Wells Fargo Center for the Arts announced six additional shows to be presented in the newly renovated Ruth Finley Person Theater (50 Mark West Springs Road, Santa Rosa) as part of their 2013-14 season. The new performances added to the already diverse season include Bryan Adams: Bare Bones Tour (Thursday, October 17), Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell with Richard Thompson (Saturday, November 2), An Evening with Foreigner (Thursday, November 8), So You Think You Can Dance Live! (Thursday, November 21), The Brian Setzer Orchestra: Christmas Rocks 10th Anniversary Tour! (Thursday, December 26), and Aimee Mann & Billy Collins: An Evening of Acoustic Music and Spoken Word (Friday, April 18). The final show of Live @ Benaroya Hall's successful inaugural season is quickly approaching (tickets to The Monkees on August 17 at 8pm, are still available) and Benaroya Hall preps for a stellar sophomore season. Tickets for Chris Cornell and Makana will go on sale at 10am on Friday August 16. All other concert tickets are on sale now. In addition to the seven concerts listed above, more will be added as the season continues on through June of 2014. Information on additional shows will be released as it becomes available.

McCarter Theatre Center is pleased to announce its 2013-2014 roster of world-renowned artists on its 2013-14 Presenting Series. During the upcoming season, McCarter will present over 40 performances by world-class performing artists curated by Special Programming Director William W. Lockwood. Mr. Lockwood has been responsible for McCarter's special programming for over 50 years, and remains the senior arts presenter in the country.
