Richard Thompson's ELECTRIC Set for 2/5 Release

Grammy-nominated musician Richard Thompson returns with Electric, a guitar-driven set of 11 new songs, out February 5 on New West Records. That night, Thompson will play Joe's Pub in New York City in celebration of the release (info available at joespub.com). Named one of the "20 Greatest Guitarists" by Rolling Stone and declared "one of this world's most gifted songwriters" by American Songwriter, Thompson has garnered widespread praise over the course of his career. Live at The RRazz, San Francisco's premier nightclub, presents acclaimed vocalist Curtis Stigers and his band for two shows only on January 15 and 16 at 8:00 PM. Stigers will perform selections from his latest album Let's Go Out Tonight from Concord Records - produced by Larry Klein (Joni Mitchell, Herbie Hancock, Tracy Chapman) - featuring songs by Bob Dylan, Richard Thompson, Steve Earle, Wilco, Neill Finn and more. He broke on the scene in the mid-90's with Top 10 hits 'I Wonder Why,' 'You're All That Matters To Me' and '(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding,' which was on the 45x platinum-selling soundtrack to 'The Bodyguard.'

Austin City Limits (ACL) travels to Nashville for the second consecutive year to capture highlights from performances at the 2012 Americana Music Association Honors and Awards. ACL Presents: Americana Music Festival 2012 delivers an incredible line-up of artists that celebrates the best of Americana music today. Recorded live September 12th at The Americana Music Association's 11th Annual Americana Honors and Awards ceremony at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, the program showcases the genres' established and rising stars. Currently the fastest growing and one of the best-selling genres, Americana music honors the roots of American music and has been hailed by The New York Times as "the coolest music scene today".

The public is invited to a reception with the artists on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 5 - 7:30 p.m. A Gallery Talk with the artists will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at noon, as well as Monday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. The MCCC Gallery is located on the second floor of the Communication Building on Mercer's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.
