Acclaimed Singer/Songwriter Malcolm Holcombe To Release COME HELL OR HIGH WATER 9/14

Acclaimed North Carolina-based singer-songwriter Malcolm Holcombe, “a troubadour seemingly from another age” (Elmore), will release his third album in as many years and his 13th studio album, Come Hell or High Water (Singular Recordings), on September 14. In support of the release, Holcombe will kick off a 25-city tourJuly 29, at the Grey Eagle in Asheville, NC. Today, Austin-based folk-pop virtuosos The Belle Sounds premiere the music video for their single 'Like a Villain' with Atwood Magazine off their forthcoming album 'The Sea Within.' You can find the premiere here. The video, directed by Barbara FG, can be streamed here and the single is available on iTunes, Spotify and everywhere else music is sold or streamed. Named for their cranky old guitars, Los Angeles-based duo Roscoe & Etta – singer/songwriters Maia Sharp and Anna Schulze – will release their self-titled debut September 7. BuzzBands.LA premiered the first single, “Broken Headlights,” and notes “…their voices feel right as rain—the kind that 'clears the air over Los Angeles,' as Sharp [and Schulze] sing.”

the cell (Founding Artistic Director Nancy Manocherian, Artistic Director Kira Simring) will grant four artists each a month-long residency as part of its 2018 season. This new residency program grants selected artists the use of the venue for a month and the resources needed to develop a project of their choice that will be presented at the end of their one-month term.
