Joan Baez Comes to the Beacon Theatre

The Madison Square Garden Company and Metropolitan Entertainment announced today that Joan Baez will take the Beacon Theatre stage on Friday, September 21, 2018 and Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 8:00PM as part of her final, formal North American Tour. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 2 at 10:00AM.

Joan Baez, acclaimed artist and activist, will begin touring this September for her new album, "Whistle Down The Wind." The new music marks the first release from Baez since her 2008 Grammy-nominated album, "Day After Tomorrow." "Whistle Down The Wind" was produced by 3-time Grammy Award-winner Joe Henry and includes songs written by Tom Waits, Anohni, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Josh Ritter, Eliza Gilkyson and more. A CD or digital download of Baez's forthcoming album is included with every ticket purchased.

Baez's 75th birthday celebration was held at the Beacon Theatre in 2016 where she was joined by Paul Simon, Jackson Browne, Emmylou Harris, Richard Thompson and others. The concert premiered on the PBS Great Performances series and was simultaneously issued on DVD and CD. With her recent 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction topping off a lifetime of awards and honors for her recordings and human rights achievements around the globe, she remains a musical force of incalculable influence.

Tickets go on sale Friday, March 2, 2018 at 10:00AM and will be available through Ticketmaster Charge by Phone (1-866-858-0008) and all Ticketmaster outlets. Tickets are available in person at the MSG, Radio City Music Hall and Beacon Theatre Box Offices beginning Saturday, March 3.
