Now, acclaimed performer/musician and Middle Tennessee native Jason Petty, along with his four piece band, is bringing the authentic and insightful story of Hank to life in Hank and My Honky Tonk Heroes for a special presentation at Barter Theatre in Abingdon, Virginia, April 21-May 21.

Civil War Voices, a new musical by James R. Harris and Mark Hayes, currently in production at the Barter Theatre in Abingdon, Virginia, will be the featured theatrical event during South Carolina's Civil War Sesquicentennial Commemoration in Charleston, April 8-12. Seven performances of the musical will be staged at Charleston's Memminger Auditorium.

At a press conference held today at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) announced 174 nominations for 225 eligible productions that opened between June 1, 2009 and May 31, 2010 for the 31st annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards which honour excellence in the performing arts in Toronto.
