King's Head Theatre Artistic Director Adam Spreadbury-Maher announces the theatre's work for the first 6 months of 2015, including a new play directed by Mike Bradwell, and the 21st anniversary production of Irvine Welsh's Trainspotting, with a 9-actor Edinburgh cast, plus, the long awaited stage premiere of Richard O'Brien's Shock Treatment, the equal/sequel to his cult hit The Rocky Horror Show.
For the second year in a row, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW is at Bucks County Playhouse. This show is time warping its way through Bucks County Playhouse just in time for Halloween. It is a cult classic and has everything you loved about the movie in a live stage version. Bucks County Playhouse certainly hits the mark in their current production of this legendary rock musical.
Every year, the Michigan Philharmonic presents a Halloween pops concert, and this year's was a triumphal success. Held at Steppingstone School for the Gifted, the symphony played in a 'haunted garage,' i.e. a large warehouse decorated by the gifted children. Patrons were invited to wear costumes, as were the symphony musicians. Music Director Nan Washburn arrived in style, wearing a brightly colored clown outfit, riding to the podium on a decorative clown bicycle.
