THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW Opens 7/12 at Actor's Express

Actor's Express and Artistic Director Freddie Ashley are excited to invite the press to the opening of The Rocky Horror Show, by Richard O'Brien, directed by Freddie Ashley, and featuring some of Atlanta's top notch musical theatre stars. Music direction is by Seth Davis, choreography is by Ricardo Aponte. The production opens Saturday night, July 12, 2014, 8pm curtain. Preview performances are July 10 and 11, and the ever-popular pay-what-you-want sneak peek, "Director's Rough Cut", is Wednesday, July 9.

Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8pm, and MIDNIGHT PERFORMANCES on Saturday nights (except not on opening night, Saturday, July 12). There are NO SUNDAY MATINEES. Single tickets for The Rocky Horror Show are on sale now at the box office (404-607-7469) or online at Preview tickets are $24, and single tickets range from $26 to $46 (buy early to get best prices!); student and senior discounts available. Innocent young Brad and Janet seek refuge in a mysterious castle on a rainy night. Inside, they encounter the lab of Dr. Frank N. Furter and his madcap gaggle of aliens and misfits, who lead the young couple on an intergalactic adventure of sexual discovery and rock-and-roll.

Audience Advisory: This production contains strobe lights, haze, adult language, nudity, violence, sex, loud music, and aliens. Hire a sitter and leave the kids at home.

"I am so excited to be diving into the craziness of The Rocky Horror Show. What better way is there to spend the summer?" says Freddie Ashley, who directs the production, and is the Artistic Director of the company. "The Rocky Horror Show is the perfect summertime show for Actor's Express - crazy, sexy, funny and a really good time. We are putting our own spin on things, so if you think you know The Rocky Horror Show, you're in for a new experience."

The 15-member cast includes Jeremiah Parker Hobbs as Riff Raff, Craig Waldrip as Dr. Frank N. Furter, Brian Hatch as Rocky, Benjamin Davis as Brad, Randi Garza as Janet, Kevin Harry as Narrator, Jill Hames as Eddie/Dr. Scott, Diany Rodriguez as Magenta, Ashley Prince as Columbia, and Chase Alford, Jason-Jamal Ligon, Stephanie Lloyd, Megan Poole, Julissa Sabino, and Jordan-William Snead as Phantoms.
