Ranging in length from 10 to 22 days, the extensive itinerary options provide guests with more ways to experience the Panama Canal than any other cruise line.
Itineraries up to 25 days, diverse ports of call and a rare mid-size ship experience highlight Holland America Line's 2013-14 Caribbean season that features eight of the line's premium vessels sailing round-trip from either Fort Lauderdale or Tampa, Fla. This summer Celebrity Chef Cat Cora will demonstrate how to whip up her favorite dishes as part of Holland America Line's Culinary Arts Center, presented by Food & Wine magazine. Cora is scheduled to sail on ms Nieuw Amsterdam's 12-day Mediterranean Empires cruise departing July 2, 2013.
On Jan. 4, 2014, Holland America Line's ms Amsterdam will depart Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on an epic 113-day round-trip journey around the world that will touch the shores of 38 ports across five continents. Rather than taking a traditional course, the Amsterdam will cross the equator four times on the 2014 Grand World Voyage and sail a route that deeply explores the Southern Hemisphere.
Holland America Line's ms Oosterdam and ms Volendam will return to Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific islands for the 2013-14 season with a series of sailings that will visit more than 50 ports of call. During the voyages guests will have the opportunity to experience the region's incredible wildlife on land and in the sea, including Australia's legendary Outback and the world's largest coral ecosystem, the Great Barrier Reef, during a complete circumnavigation of the continent.
To celebrate its upcoming 140th anniversary April 18, 2013, Holland America Line is launching a sweepstakes on Facebook that will award four fans a cruise for two on any Holland America Line sailing of up to 14 days in an ocean-view stateroom, subject to availability. The sweepstakes ends May 8, 2013, at 10 a.m. PDT, and the four winners will be selected in a random drawing on or around May 13, 2013.
For the 2014 Alaska cruise season, Holland America Line will feature seven ships sailing exciting seven- or 14-day itineraries that stretch from the Inside Passage up to Glacier Bay and beyond. The line is shifting the 1,916-guest ms Oosterdam to the Glacier Discovery itinerary between Vancouver, British Columbia, and Seward, Alaska alongside the 1,260-guest ms Statendam, which will increase verandah and guest capacity in the Gulf of Alaska.
