Broadway Sacramento to Offer Audio Description at Select Performances

For the first time, due to a program established by California Musical Theatre (CMT), Music Circus and Broadway Sacramento patrons who are blind or visually impaired will be better able to enjoy the musicals they attend at Wells Fargo Pavilion and Community Center Theater, according to Richard Lewis, CMT President & CEO. Select Saturday matinee performances of each Broadway Sacramento and Music Circus production will feature audio description. Patrons with visual impairments will be able to listen to live descriptions of the visual elements of the shows-including sets, costumes and physical action-using ear pieces provided at the theater.

SUNSET STRIP Documentary with Johnny Depp & More Now Available

Lise Romanoff's Vision Films has announced that they will be releasing the iconic documentary SUNSET STRIP directed by Hans Fjellestad (WHEN THE WORLD BREAKS) today across multiple VOD platforms such as iTunes, Xbox, Playstation, Amazon, Blockbuster, Vimeo and direct to consumers via the Yerka player. The film will debut on DVD on December 10th.

EPIX to Debut THE IMPROV: 50 YEARS BEHIND THE BRICK WALL Doc, 12/6

Premium entertainment network EPIX, announced today that it has set Friday, December 6, at 10 PM ET, as the premiere date for the Original Documentary The Improv: 50 Years Behind the Brick Wall. In this one-hour special, narrated by Adam Sandler, the biggest names in stand-up comedy reveal the role the storied comedy club, the Improv, played in their road to stardom. At times poignant, insightful and always funny, the special uses comics' personal stories, home movies, photographs, and archival footage to weave a story fifty years in the making.

WBGO Jazz Series Comes to 54 Below Tonight

WBGO Jazz Series is presenting two major jazz shows at 54 Below (254 West 54th Street, NYC) tonight, October 22nd, and Tuesday, October 29th.

Larry King to Guest Host OLBERMANN on ESPN Tomorrow

Television icon Larry King (Larry King Now) will guest host ESPN2's late night show Olbermann from October 1-3, when Keith Olbermann will be taking a temporary leave from the show to host the MLB postseason studio show on TBS. King will be hosting Olbermann for the three-night run live at 11 p.m. (time may shift depending on live events) from the show's Times Square studios in New York City. Additionally, King is scheduled to make a guest appearance on Olbermann this Friday, September 27.

Richard Lewis to Bring Stand-Up to Ridgefield Playhouse, 10/18

From his HBO and Showtime stand-up specials, to his recurring roles on shows such as Curb Your Enthusiasm and Everybody Hates Chris, it's no wonder that Richard Lewis was listed as one of Comedy Central's top 50 stand-up comedians of all time. On Friday, October 18, at 8 p.m., you'll get to see why when Richard Lewis headlines at The Ridgefield Playhouse. Special guest is Mike Jacobs, known for his sidesplitting edgy brand of observational comedy.
