Theatre Harrisburg's WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? Opens Tonight

Theatre Harrisburg continues its 2014-2015 Mainstage season with one of America's greatest plays - WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? by Edward Albee. Opening tonight, March 13 at the Krevsky Center, other performances are scheduled for March 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 21 & 22. Show times are Wednesday & Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Today & Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. All tickets are priced at $25 except Wednesday, March 18 when all seats are only $20. Tickets may be purchased by visiting or calling the Whitaker Center box office at (717) 214-2787. This production is sponsored by Metro Bank.

RSC to Celebrate Shakespeare's Birthday with Concert, Family Events

The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) will celebrate Shakespeare's 451st birthday with a special Birthday Bash musical concert on Sunday 26 April. The day before, Saturday 25 April, as part of Stratford-upon-Avon's annual Shakespeare Birthday Celebrations, the RSC will also offer a range of free activities for the family.

God Save the Queen! Meet the Full Cast of THE AUDIENCE, Opening Tonight on Broadway

Academy Award winner Helen Mirren will return to Broadway this spring as Elizabeth II in Peter Morgan's The Audience, directed by two-time Tony Award winner Stephen Daldry. The new production of Mary Chase's Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy HARVEY directed by Lindsay Posner and starring James Dreyfus as Elwood P. Dowd and Maureen Lipman as Veta Louise Simmons, will play a limited season at London's Theatre Royal Haymarket from Tuesday 17 March until Saturday 2 May, with a Gala Night on Monday 23 March. The production will first open at Birmingham Repertory Theatre on 6 February, running until 21 February, with a national press night on Tuesday 17 February. After Birmingham, the production will play in Malvern from 24 to 28 February and Richmond from 3 to 7 March. Check out the trailer below!

BWW Reviews: St. Louis Actors' Studio's Stunning Production of WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?

Most people are familiar with WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?, undoubtedly playwright Edward Albee's masterpiece, from the film that starred Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor (released in 1966). But, seeing the play in person is a completely different experience, and one that's incredibly worthwhile, if harrowing at times. The St. Louis Actors' Studio is currently presenting an excellent production of this work that features strong performances and insightful direction. You'll forget all about the movie once you experience this show in the flesh.

BWW Interviews: Illustrious DICK CAVETT in Hellman v. McCarthy

Author/actor/TV talk show host Dick Cavett will star at Theatre 40 in the controversial play Hellman v. McCarthy beginning February 6. Cavett is best known for his TV talk shows from the 70s to present time on CBS, ABC, PBS, USA Network and currently on TCM hosting reruns of his classic 70s interviews. He is known for his laid-back conversational style with such celebrities as Groucho Marx, Bette Davis, Katharine Hepburn, Jack Benny and Mel Brooks among many others. He is a three-time Emmy Award winner. He also currently writes a blog published by the New York Times.
