Combining dance, poetry, comedy, circus, striptease and song, this acclaimed Australian production has in the last year shocked and delighted audiences at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival and the Brisbane Festival.

Following its stunning 2015 debut, Dance Rites, the Sydney Opera House's groundbreaking Indigenous dance competition, returns this year with even more communities across Australia preparing to compete on Sunday 9 October.

The longest ever Vivid Sydney will shine for 23 nights when it illuminates Sydney Harbour, new and much-loved precincts, and hosts vibrant music performances and big ideas talks, from Friday 27 May to Saturday 18 June. 

The Sydney Opera House today announced a ground-breaking new dance competition that aims to reinvigorate aspects of Indigenous culture through the reclamation of the age-old song-lines, stories and dance practices. Dance Rites will be held on Sunday 22 November 2015 on the Western Broadwalk at Sydney Opera House. Registrations are now open and will close on Sunday 6 September.

Clancestry, A Celebration of Country, produced and presented by QPAC, has cemented its place on Queensland's arts and cultural calendar and encouraged people from all over Australia to connect with and take pride in the arts and culture of First Nations peoples.
