Karen Slack has announced her 2022-2023 season, featuring an expansive range of programming spanning the recital, orchestral, and operatic worlds.

Acclaimed singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist  Rhiannon Giddens will join Resident Conductor Christopher James Lees and the Charlotte Symphony for the CSO’s annual Gala on Saturday, November 5, 2022.

Produced by fellow GRAMMY-winner Joe Henry (Bonnie Raitt, Rhiannon Giddens), Age Of Apathy was recorded through a unique residency with Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL. Working both on-site at their studio with GRAMMY-nominated engineer Darren Schneider while collaborating entirely remotely with Henry.

The Town Hall and T Bone Burnett will present A Tribute to Bob Dylan in partnership with the Bob Dylan Center on September 30, 2022 at 8pm. Curated T Bone Burnett, the show will feature performances by a diverse array of artists, each performing songs written by Dylan spanning the Nobel laureate’s illustrious career.

A cross-disciplinary tour de force performed by Nashville Ballet, Great Performances: Black Lucy and The Bard explores the love life of William Shakespeare and his muses, the “Dark Lady” and the “Fair Youth,” presenting the idea that these subjects and inspirations in his love sonnets were a Black woman and a young man.
