Chosen from last year's PANNDORA'S BOX festival of new works, SWEET TEXAS RECKONING is the story of Ellie Wolcott, a Southern Baptist woman fearing a tepid and lonely old age, who attempts to reunite her daughter, Kate, with long time paramour Alan John in order to salvage her remaining years with some semblance of dignity. When Kate shows up with an unexpected guest, Ellie is forced to confront many demons, including her ideas about race, biology, bigotry, and sexuality.

CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST, the official kick-off to the 2015 Radio City Christmas Spectacular holiday season, was held today, August 13, in New York City. Featuring Santa Claus and the Rockettes, the event stopped traffic on 6th avenue in front of Radio City Music Hall, while the iconic dancers brought to life the wooden soldiers and rag dolls from Santa's enchanted workshop in the North Pole. This special one-night-only event will be held at The Times Center today, May 16 with an 8pm concert performance featuring Broadway and Prospect stars. The evening's program includes a diverse array of songs written or co-written by women, including encores of work from Prospect productions. Proceeds from the evening will benefit Prospect's ongoing mission to develop and produce new musical theater works by emerging artists.
