FSPA Holds Summer Open House for Prospective Students Today

The Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) will hold summer Open Houses for prospective students and families from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today, July 30 at 38 Main Street in downtown Franklin. The community is invited to tour the facilities, observe classes and rehearsals, speak with faculty and staff, and learn more about FSPA programs in music, dance, and drama.

FSPA Slates August 2015 Open Houses

The Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) will hold summer Open Houses for prospective students and families on Tuesday, August 11 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., on Wednesday, August 26 from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., and on Saturday, August 29 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at 38 Main Street in downtown Franklin.

FSPA Summer Theater to Stage HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, 8/13-14

Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) Summer Theater presents the Disney mega-hit High School Musical at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 13 and Friday, August 14. The culmination of FSPA's annual two-week musical theater program, the production features students in grades 8-12 and will be staged at THE BLACK BOX, located at 15 West Central Street in downtown Franklin. 

Electric Youth Plays Free Summer Concert in Norfolk Tonight

Following a two-and-a-half week summer concert tour of England and France, Electric Youth (EY) will perform two free outdoor concerts tonight, July 23, from 6:30-8 p.m. at Norfolk Town Hill and on Wednesday, July 29, from 6-8 p.m. on Franklin Town Common.

FSPA's 30th Anniversary Spring Concert Set for Today

Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) invites prospective students and families to learn more about programs in music, dance and drama via the school's All Access Pass, which includes complimentary tickets to any of the FSPA 30th Anniversary Spring Concert performances today, May 16 at 4 and 7 p.m. and on Sunday, May 17 at 1 and 4 p.m. Featuring FSPA students in all levels and disciplines of dance and musical theater, including performing troupes, dance companies and the international touring ensemble Electric Youth, Spring Concert is presented in an audience-friendly, 90-minute format.

Franklin School for the Performing Arts Ensembles to Perform at Walt Disney World

Forty-one local students from the Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) will travel to Walt Disney World during the April school break to perform for Disney audiences and participate in workshops with Disney performers, choreographers and directors. This is FSPA's 20th year performing at Disney World as part of the Disney Performing Arts program.

Electric Youth 2015 to Debut at The Black Box in January

Electric Youth (EY) 2015, the international touring ensemble of talented singer-dancers trained at the Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA), will debut at THE BLACK BOX in downtown Franklin on Saturday, January 10, performing two shows at 7:00 and 9:30 p.m. Backed by an eight-piece band of world-class musicians, Electric Youth delivers a fun, high-energy evening of family entertainment with an extensive range of contemporary pop, classic rock, Broadway and country hits for audiences all ages. The EY shows at THE BLACK BOX will feature fully choreographed performances of Adele, The Beatles, Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, Jason Mraz, Frank Sinatra, Styx and more.

FPAC's 2015 Season to Include PETER PAN, THE NUTCRACKER & More

Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) launches its 24th season with grand opening performances in THE BLACK BOX, FPAC's new home and performance venue in downtown Franklin. A special kick-off weekend will introduce the theater, music and event space to the community. Anchoring a series of signature events, FPAC's annual Gala on Saturday evening, September 20, features a special, one-night-only performance by Tony® Award winner Beth Leavel and Broadway star Alexander Gemignani. On Sunday, September 21, FPAC hosts an Open House at THE BLACK BOX, inviting the public to come celebrate, tour the facility, and learn about upcoming programming and arts opportunities for Franklin and the surrounding region. The weekend's events conclude with the FPAC Golf Tournament on Monday, September 22, featuring a day on the links at Franklin Country Club.
