JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT Opens This Weekend at The Black Box

The Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) presents the hit family musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, opening this weekend at THE BLACK BOX in downtown Franklin. Staged for six performances, show times are Saturday, March 10 at 2:00 and 7:30; Sunday, March 11 at 2:00; Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17 at 7:30; and Sunday, March 18 at 2:00. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a colorful and uplifting show for audiences of all ages.

NYV Vocalist To Lead Monty Python's SPAMALOT At The Black Box

Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) presents Monty Python's Spamalot on October 21-22 and 27-29. The production will be staged at THE BLACK BOX, FPAC's home and performance venue located at 15 West Central Street in downtown Franklin.

THE BLACK BOX Announces '60s Musical Tribute

THE BLACK BOX launches a new Decades Series on Saturday, September 23 with The '60s A Musical Tribute at the downtown Franklin venue. Two shows will be presented at 7:00 and 8:30 p.m. Featuring a six-piece professional band and talented area singers in an intimate nightclub atmosphere, the tribute will showcase some of the greatest songs of the decade including hits by music legends Aretha Franklin, The Beatles, Frankie Valli, Simon and Garfunkel, Otis Redding, the Rolling Stones, the Mamas and the Papas, The Doors, and many more.

Franklin School for the Performing Arts to Host July Open Houses

Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) will host summer Open Houses today, July 12 and Tuesday, July 25 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 38 Main Street in downtown Franklin. The community is invited to tour the facilities, observe classes and rehearsals, speak with faculty and staff, and learn more about FSPA programs in music, dance and drama.

Electric Youth to Debut Two Shows at The Black Box

Electric Youth (EY) 2017, the international touring ensemble of talented singer-dancers trained at the Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA), headlines at THE BLACK BOX in downtown Franklin on Saturday, January 28, debuting two shows at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Backed by an eight-piece band of world-class musicians, Electric Youth delivers a fun, high-energy evening of family entertainment with an extensive range of contemporary pop, classic rock, Broadway and country hits for audiences all ages. The EY shows at THE BLACK BOX will feature fully choreographed performances of Michael Buble, Colbie Caillat, The Black Crowes, Guns N' Roses, Queen, Carrie Underwood, The Who, Stevie Wonder and more.

Families Share The Stage in FPAC'S HUMBUG!

When the curtain rises on Franklin Performing Arts Company's Humbug!, a contemporary musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, several local families will share the stage.

Tony Award-winner Beth Leavel launched the Broadway Series at The Black Box at the Franklin Performing Arts Company in a boffo one-night-only concert, accompanied on piano by Musical Director Phil Reno. The star was joined onstage by five young FPAC vocalists who portend a bright future for musical theatre.

Prospective students are also encouraged to try a complimentary class.
