After a record-breaking run of 27 years, including 18 separate editions and more than 9,000 performances, Gerard Alessandrini's FORBIDDEN BROADWAY will play their final New York performance at the 47th Street Theatre (304 West 47th Street) on Sunday, March 1, 2009.
Variety is reporting that Gerard Allesandrini's Forbidden Broadway Goes To Rehab is extending and will now end its 27-year New York run on March 1st rather than January 15th.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Raul Esparza has booked an episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent that starts shooting next week, the magazine's web site notes that 'He'll play a shady district attorney in a Goren-centric episode.' No air date has been set for the episode.

Van Hill Entertainment is proud to announce that the Off-Broadway premiere of ROOMS a rock romance, starring Leslie Kritzer and Doug Kreeger, will begin performances on Friday February 27th at New World Stages/Stage 2 (340 West 50th Street). Opening Night is set for Monday March 16th (7 PM).
ROOMS a rock romance has music and lyrics by Paul Scott Goodman (Bright Lights Big City) and book by Goodman and Miriam Gordon, and will be directed by Scott Schwartz (Golda's Balcony, Bat Boy: The Musical, tick, tick... BOOM!, Jane Eyre).
The producers of Speed-The-Plow have announced that Neil Pepe's acclaimed production of David Mamet's play has recouped its investment. Any work that has not been produced professionally in New York City may be submitted by authors with or without industry representation, but scripts should be ready for developmental production and the widespread exposure NYMF provides. All entries undergo double-blind evaluations by several members of NYMF's reading team, with finalists referred to a grand jury of celebrated industry professionals. Previous jury members have included such Tony winning talents as Victoria Clark, Raul Esparza, Robyn Goodman, Margo Lion, Robert Lopez & Jeff Marx, Kathleen Marshall, Kevin McCollum, Tom Meehan, Phylicia Rashad and BD Wong.
