Compagnia De'Colombari to Present EVERYTHING THAT RISES MUST CONVERGE, 3/28

Compagnia de'Colombari has announced their 2015 presentation of Flannery O'Connor's Everything That Rises Must Converge presented at Loyola University Chicago (The Joan and Bill Hank Center for the Catholic Intellectual Heritage), Yale University (Institute of Sacred Music) and Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in NYC. This season is a celebration of Flannery O'Connor's induction into Saint John the Divine's American Poets Corner in November 2014, the occasion of Flannery O'Connor's 80th Birthday and the 50th Anniversary of ETRMC's first publication.

Do we alter our identities? Search for a new career? Find faith? This is just one of the questions that Spooky Action Theater's world premiere of Last of the Whyos asks audiences to ponder. Written by Barbara Wiechmann and directed by Rebecca Holderness, Last of the Whyos takes audiences on a journey through time and on a search for self.

Elevator Repair Service's THE SOUND AND THE FURY Comes to the Public This Spring

The Public Theater announced today that Elevator Repair Service's acclaimed THE SOUND AND THE FURY will be remounted by Elevator Repair Service at The Public this spring. Directed by John Collins, THE SOUND AND THE FURY begins performances in The Public's Martinson Theater on Thursday, May 14 and run through Saturday, June 13, with an official press opening on Thursday, May 21. THE SOUND AND THE FURY will mark the third collaboration between The Public and Elevator Repair Service, having previously presented Gatz and Arguendo. October is an auspicious month to make this announcement, as it marks the 85th anniversary of the original publication date of William Faulkner's masterpiece.

COMPAGNIA DE' COLOMBARI has announced the four city national tour of Flannery O'Connor's EVERYTHING THAT RISES MUST CONVERGE, created for the stage and directed by Karin Coonrod. EVERYTHING THAT RISES MUST CONVERGE will play Washington, D.C.; Atlanta, Georgia; Brunswick, Maine; and New York City. Tour begins tonight, April 10 and continues through Wednesday, April 16.

The audience will have the opportunity to hear from Brian Schwartz (Professor of Physics at CUNY), Kevin Kennedy (Associate Professor of Philosophy at St. John's University) andRandolph Curtis Rand, the director of EINSTEIN. There will be an audience Q&A as well.
