As previously announced, on October 12, nearly 150 theaters nationwide will stage readings of the epilogue piece to 2000's The Laramie Project, entitled The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later, in honor of the 11th anniversary of Matthew Shepard's death. Glenn Close will be hosting a pre-show event to the Lincoln Center performance that will be broadcast to the theaters participating in the event nationwide.

On October 10th, musicians from around the country joined at Birdland to celebrate The Matthew Shepard Foundation with music and fun. The cast included Randi Driscoll and Noah Heldman, Jason & deMarco, Max von Essen, Christopher Sieber, Billy Stritch, Scott Nevins, David Gurland and host Jim Caruso.
