The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus, began rehearsals today (pictured, left) for the world premiere musical Waitress. Based on the motion picture written by Adrienne Shelly the new musical has a book by Jessie Nelson, music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles, direction by Diane Paulus, and choreography by Chase Brock.

ELISE: In Concert will be presented Feb. 28th as part of The Rehearsal Room series at Don't Tell Mama. Performers at the 10 PM concert include Alexandra Silber (Grammy Nominee), Alexis Michelle (Winner of So You Think You Can Drag), Ian Fairlee, Hillary Fisher, Travis Kent, Ragan Pharris, Lexi Rabadi, Josephine Spada and Sam Swenson; with musical direction by Curtis Reynolds.

Pace University's Pace New Musicals (PNM) program (est. 2007 by Program Head Amy Rogers), dedicated to the discovery of new theater works, and Ryan Scott Oliver, composer- lyricist and producer, will present a staged reading of Little Miss Fix-It (book and lyrics by Kirsten A. Guenther and music by Joy Son) today, January 23-27, 2014.

After the tremendous success of Hatched: New Work in New York (2012) and Rated RSO: College Edition (2011), Ryan Scott Oliver and Pace University's Musical Theater Class of 2016 will present a cabaret tonight, May 8th at 9:30pm and 11:30pm at 54 Below. The show, Hatched: Fresh Work. Freshmen., is a presentation of brand new work performed by brand new singers. Scroll down for portraits of the freshmen!
