The Flea Presents Horizon Theater's BENITO CERENO, Previews 9/22

The Flea Theater presents Horizon Theatre Rep's production of the rarely-seen play BENITO CERENO - written by the late Robert Lowell and based on the Herman Melville novel of the same name -- Off-Broadway at the Flea Theatre (41 White St.) in Manhattan, with previews set to start September 22 prior to an official press opening on September 25.

PLEASE NOTE: The recently-announced revival of BENITO CERENO -- scheduled to begin performances at The Flea Theater on June 16 -- has been postponed, according to Rafael De Mussa, artistic director of Horizon Theatre Rep, which is producing the play. It is anticipated that the production will be mounted in the late summer of early fall.

Albert Camus' rarely-seen 1948 play THE MISUNDERSTANDING will be performed Off-Broadway this fall, with an official press opening on November 2, 2009 at The Flea Theatre (41 White Street) in Manhattan. Ellen Crawford, widely-known for her many years on the popular television series 'ER,' has joined the cast of THE MISUNDERSTANDING, which is produced by Horizon Theatre Rep and presented by The Flea Theatre.
