First Folio Theatre (Mayslake Peabody Estate, 31st St. & Rt. 83.) is thrilled to present the World Premiere of Joseph Zettelmaier's THE MAN-BEAST, previewing October 4-6, opening October 7 and running through November 5, 2017. A tale like none other, THE MAN-BEAST gives audiences the chance to fall back in time and experience the history and horror of French monsters and fear in a timely production perfect for the crisp, shadowed nights of a Midwestern fall.

Lord Arthur, a pillar of Victorian society, is about to marry the lovely Sybil Merton, his childhood sweetheart, and is deliriously happy at the start of Peninsula Players Theatre's forthcoming comedy, "Lord Arthur Savile's Crime," by Constance Cox, based on a story by Oscar Wilde.  Laughter will fill the theater-in-a-garden August 16 through September 3 while Lord Arthur takes the stage with his muddled murder attempts.

Underscore Theatre Company is pleased to present the world premiere musical thriller MY NAME IS ANNIE KING, the story of a young man who stumbles into the world of a religious cult in backcountry Missouri, becoming intoxicated by its leader and his ideologies. With a bluegrass/folk infused score by Aaron Albert and Katy Rea and book by Krista Pioppa, the new musical is directed by Alex Higgin-Houser. In the tradition of Underscore's 2016 hit musical Haymarket: The Anarchist's Songbook, some members of the cast will play their own instruments. MY NAME IS ANNIE KING will play April 21 - May 28, 2017 at Underscore's new resident home Pride Arts Center (The Broadway), 4139 N. BoHo Theatre completes its 2016 season with NEXT TO NORMAL, Brian Yorkey and Tom Kitt's rock opera about struggling with grief and mental illness in suburban America. The production is directed by Theater at the Center Artistic Director Linda Fortunato, who recently earned a Jeff Award for choreographing BoHo's KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN and a Jeff Award nomination for directing BoHo's PARADE.
