A developmental production of Sojourn Theatre and The TEAM's Waiting for You on the Corner of {13th and Walnut}, kicks off the Rep's First Page New Play Workshop today, February 8.

A developmental production of Sojourn Theatre and The TEAM's Waiting for You on the Corner of {13th and Walnut}, kicks off the Rep's First Page New Play Workshop on Friday, February 8. Commissioned by Kansas City Repertory Theatre, this show runs through February 17 at Copaken Stage located at 13th and Walnut.

Forthcoming productions at the National Theatre, announced today by Nicholas Hytner, include plays familiar, rare and new: Shakespeare's Othello, Gorky's Children of the Sun,James Baldwin's The Amen Corner;Marlowe's Edward II, Pirandello's Liola, Eugene O'Neill's Strange Interlude and Georg Kaiser's From Morning to Midnight. Tori Amos and Samuel Adamson's musical The Light Princess will premiere in October, and there will be a new adaptation of Emil and the Detectives for family audiences at Christmas.

Kansas City Repertory Theatre is pleased to announce the launch of First Page New Play Workshop, a four-week event developed by the Rep to foster new works by local and national theatre artists. First Page will follow a playwright's concept as it evolves from the first spark of an idea into a successful new script or theatrical production. Eric Rosen has announced his selections for Kansas City Repertory Theatre's 2012-13 season, his fifth year as the theatre's artistic director.

This summer the Almeida throws its doors open to its annual festival which celebrates the best of international theatre. Over four weeks (2 -28 July) the Almeida will present productions by Inua Ellams, Inspector Sands, Lost Dog and Custom/Practice with return visits from the TEAM, Greyscale and Young Friends of the Almeida. In addition there will be a programme of one-off events, to be announced shortly.
