Philadelphia Theatre Company announces the director and full cast for the Philadelphia premiere of Marsha Norman and Jason Robert Brown's sweeping musical version of the best-selling novel, The Bridges of Madison County. The production is the second of the inaugural season under Producing Artistic Director Paige Price. For Bridges, Price has tapped Mark Martino to direct a cast rich with local theatre stars and Barrymore Award-winners, alongside actors with notable national and Broadway credits. The cast is led by Philadelphia actress Sarah Gliko and PA Native and Broadway actor Gregg Goodbrod.  Recent Barrymore Award winner Amanda Morton (Passing Strange, Wilma Theater) will serve as the Music Director. The Bridges of Madison County runs February 8-March 3, 2019 at Philadelphia Theatre Company's stage at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre, 480 S. Broad Street. Theatre Philadelphia, the region's marketing and leadership organization for theatre, proudly announces the 2018 nominees for the Barrymore Award for Excellence in Theatre. Celebrating the rich, diverse professional theatre scene in the Greater Philadelphia region, the Barrymore Ceremony will be held on Monday, November 5th at 7pm at the Bok Building at 1901 S. 9th Street in South Philadelphia. A new day is on the horizon at Theatre Horizon, a professional theatre company located 20 miles outside of Center City Philadelphia in Norristown, Pennsylvania. 11th Hour Theatre Company finishes 2016 with a brand-new series. The company is introducing The Spotlight Series, a cabaret series designed to put Philadelphia's favorite musical theatre performers front and center. Each show is one night only. 1812 Productions continues its 20th anniversary season with The Carols, an original musical set in the small town of Picatinny, NJ during World War II. It's Christmastime in 1943 and the local VFW is empty. The community waits for their loved ones to return from foreign battlefields and no one is particularly interested in the Hall's annual performance of A Christmas Carol.
