The Royal Albert Hall was built to fulfil the vision of Prince Albert (Queen Victoria's consort) of a 'Central Hall' that would be used to promote understanding and appreciation of the Arts and Sciences and would stand at the heart of the South Kensington estate, surrounded by museums and places of learning.

The Princess Grace Foundation-USA (PGF-USA) hosted the 2011 Princess Grace Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City and presented 21 Awards to emerging artists in theater, dance and film, as well as the Prince Rainier III Award which was presented to Julie Andrews and the Princess Grace Statue Award which was presented to Jon M. Chu, director of the highest grossing concert-themed film of all time in the U.S. Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. Oscar©-nominated actress Anne Hathaway introduced the special tribute to Julie Andrews. The Gala took place in the presence of TSH The Prince and Princess of Monaco. Rural Mississippi just after World War II is a changing place where blacks have been leaving and going north in droves. Not 'Prince' Albert - he likes it here. A poor sharecropper, but a strong man and a gifted farmer, he is proud of his leadership and standing. And when he finds out that his wife is pregnant, he decides to fulfill a dream -- to fix up and put fresh white paint on his shabby little tenant house. That simple wish turns his world upside down. Many people, not only the whites, don't want him to do it. Passions erupt, and resentment and fear gather like a dark summer storm, shattering family and community.
