Seven Canadian Singers Compete In Canadian Opera Company's Vocal Showcase, Nov. 3

The Canadian Opera Companyhas selected seven finalists from across the country to showcase in this year's exhilarating vocal competition at its annual gala fundraiser,Centre Stage, on November 3, 2016. Selected from a pool of 119 aspiring Canadian opera singers, the final seven will take to the stage of Toronto's Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts to perform selected arias in the hopes of securing a cash prize, ranging in value from $1,500 - $5,000, and a highly coveted invitation to join Canada's premier training program for young opera professionals, the COC Ensemble Studio.

After two acclaimed Russian productions at Boston Playwrights' Theatre and the Arsenal Center for the Arts in Watertown, Arlekin Players' one-woman show NATASHA'S DREAM, featuring actress Darya Denisova returns in a translated run at the Arlekin Players Theatre, 268 Hillside Avenue in Needham, today, February 27 and tomorrow, February 28, 2016. Performances are at 7:00pm, and tickets ($25/$50) are available by calling (617) 942-0022, or online at www.arlekinplayers.com. This production is for mature audiences.

Main Street Festivals to Feature Readings of Three New Musicals

Produced in association with Temple University, and now in its second year, Main Street Festivals, is a national initiative that presents annual readings of new musicals in cities across the United States over the course of a year. Temple is hosting the 2015 plays January 16 and 17 in the Randall Theatre, Temple University School of Theater, Film and Media Arts, 1301 W. Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo to Perform American Premiere of CHORE at Segerstrom Center, 2/11/16

COSTA MESA, CA – Segerstrom Center for the Arts welcomes the return of Les Ballets de Monte- Carlo February 11 – 13, 2016 with another American premiere: Jean-Christophe Maillot's Choré, featuring music by Danny Elfman and John Cage. Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo appears at the Center under the Presidency of H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover. This marks the Ballets' third visit to the Center, having previously brought the Southern California premiere the company's Cinderella and the American premiere of LAC.

Julian Lennon Foundation Donates $100,000 to Music For Relief for Nepal

Julian Lennon's White Feather Foundation, dedicated to the betterment of life, has contributed $100,000 to Music for Relief's Nepal aid fund. At the onset of the earthquake crisis, Julian launched a funding campaign through his Foundation via his social media platforms, including personally matching each donation. Music for Relief has been active in providing immediate aid since the devastating magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck on April 25. Funds raised are used to enable our partners on the ground to provide food, water, shelter, sanitation solutions, and to develop long-term recovery plans.

In 2015, the CabaretFest in Provincetown (MA), one of America's biggest Cabaret events, is returning to its roots. After a one-year layoff, this weekend extravaganza of song that began in 1999 under the guidance of actor and cabaret performer John O'Neil, will be back this June (4-7) bigger and better than ever. Singer and Cape Cod resident Patricia Fitzpatrick and Ambassador Productions has recruited O'Neil to help re-launch the event in its original format-only longer. CabaretFest 2015 Provincetown weekend will be jammed-packed with activities and shows that Fitzpatrick says, 'Promise to be educational, entertaining, and fun, and all will celebrate 'The Art of Cabaret!'
