Cast of Broadway's 'GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE' Joins Sky-Pony at 54 Below Tonight

Tonight, May 10 at 54 Below, join soprano Lauren Worsham -- Phoebe from Broadway's critically-acclaimed A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder -- as she introduces her Edwardian castmates to her rock band Sky-Pony. It's Broadway meets indie-rock in a supper club setting.

Ghostlight Records has just released the original Broadway cast recording of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, the new musical currently running at the Walter Kerr Theatre. The album - produced by Joel Moss and Kurt Deutsch, with Joey Parnes serving as Executive Producer - features a 40-page booklet with complete lyrics, color photos, a synopsis by librettist Robert L. Freedman and an essay by renowned theater writer and critic David Cote. The cast just celebrated the album release at Joe Allen and you can check out photos from the special event below!

The 3rd annual Sun Valley Film Festival wrapped up a successful, fun-packed festival over the weekend with a jumping Saturday night awards party hosted by actor Michael Weaver and a rousing set by Nashville rockers Those Darlins entertained the crowd with the winners pogoing and moshing their way into the night. Sunday saw a final Coffee Talk with filmmaker Kevin Smith on hand to delight a packed house at the nexStage Theater, as well as present an encore 20th anniversary screening of his landmark film CLERKS.

Karen Mason, Alexandra Silber & More Set for Red Bull Theater's HAPPY END Concert Reading, 3/17

Today, Red Bull Theater announced the cast for their Staged Concert Reading of Happy End, the musical by Bertolt Brecht & Kurt Weill, translated by Michael Feingold: Nancy Anderson, J. Bernard Calloway, Carson Elrod, Steven Eng, Tom Hewitt, Matthew Maher, Karen Mason, Martin Moran, Alexandra Silber, Price Waldman, Kristine Zbornik, Chip Zien, and more to be announced. Happy End will be directed by Leigh Silverman with music direction by James Cunningham and will take place Monday March 17th at 7:30pm at the Lucille Lortel Theater, 121 Christopher Street, between Bleecker and Hudson Streets.

At a special event yesterday, March 5, the cast of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder announced that the production has reached the 1,000th death of its leading man, Jefferson Mays, since opening at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Mays' character dies eight times in each performance; and so, he has reached 1,000 stage deaths faster than any other Broadway actor. At a press conference earlier today, the cast of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder announced that the production just reached the landmark 1,000th death of its leading man. Jefferson Mays, playing eight members of the D'Ysquith clan, is knocked off eight times in each performance, or sixty-four times each week. Mr. Mays has reached 1,000 stage deaths faster than any lead actor in Broadway history. At the press conference, Mr. Mays' co-star, Bryce Pinkham, presented Mr. Mays with an honorary 'death certificate' on behalf of the entire cast.
