Named as one of Musical America's Top 30 Innovators in Classical Music, Josh Shaw is the Executive and Artistic Director of Pacific Opera Project (POP), one of L.A.'s most exciting opera companies. During the past nine seasons, Shaw has directed over 35 productions at POP. Since 2011, Shaw  has directed over 70 productions at regional opera companies. His The Barber of Seville at Opera Santa Barbara was described as 'riotously funny' and 'thoroughly amusing from overture to final bow.'

Syracuse Stage's 48th Season to Present its Third World Premiere

Two Tony Award-winning musicals, an American classic, a smart new comedy, a haunting new adaptation of a literary masterpiece and a world premiere are at the heart of Syracuse Stage's 48th season. Artistic director Robert Hupp said the shows in the season all in some way address ideas of home 'in all its idealized, romanticized, messy and real manifestations.'

Lookingglass Theatre Company announces Family Days for The Steadfast Tin Soldier, from the story by Hans Christian Andersen, written and directed by Ensemble Member Mary Zimmerman. Family Days will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019, Thursday, December 5, 2019, Thursday, December 12, 2019, and Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 2 p.m. with a pre-show activity at 1:15 p.m. and meet and greet with the cast following the show at 3:10 p.m. 

Black Ensemble Announces 2020 Season

Black Ensemble Theater's Founder and CEO Jackie Taylor announces its 44th Season: The 2020 Season of Change. The 2020 Season includes tributes to legendary heroes from throughout history, popular songs that were the B-sides of the record, the life and music of Chaka Khan, and one of the greatest bands of all time a?"
