UNCLE VANYA Extends at Soho Rep Through 7/22

Due to popular demand, Soho Rep, in association with John Adrian Selzer, extends the world premiere of Chekhov's Uncle Vanya, the new version by playwright Annie Baker, directed by Sam Gold. The run will now go through July 22. The initial six-week run is sold out.

Off-Broadway theater company Playwrights Horizons celebrated its annual Spring Gala yesterday evening, June 11th at the event space 583 Park Avenue. Titled "The Highest Standard", the evening celebrated its five Pulitzer Prize-winning productions and honor the creators of these memorable works for the theater. The honorees were James Lapine (Sunday in the Park with George), Bruce Norris (Clybourne Park), Stephen Sondheim (Sunday in the Park with George), Alfred Uhry (Driving Miss Daisy), Wendy Wasserstein (The Heidi Chronicles) and Doug Wright (I Am My Own Wife). Tony Award-Winning CLYBOURNE PARK Extends Through September 2

Producer Jordan Roth announced today the 2012 Tony Award-winning "Best Play" Clybourne Park has extended its run a second time. The limited engagement has now been extended by three additional weeks, with tickets now on sale through Sunday, September 2 at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street).

Women's Project Presents World Premiere of WE PLAY FOR THE GODS, Now thru 6/23

Women's Project will end its 34th season with an off-Broadway show of epic proportions when seven playwrights, four directors, three producers and five actors collaborate on one world premiere play titled from the famous Ellen Stewart quote We Play for The Gods. We Play for The Gods stars Annie Golden, Amber Gray, Alexandra Henrikson, Irene Sofia Lucio and Erika Rolfsud.
