The UK regional premiere production of Bruce Norris' acclaimed play CLYBOURNE PARK opens at Mercury Theatre Colchester's home base ahead of a national tour, starring Ben Deery (Karl / Steve), Dan Gaisford(Kenneth), Rebecca Manley (Bev / Kathy), Rebecca Oldfield (Betsey / Lindsey), Gloria Onitiri (Francine / Lena), Wole Sawyerr (Albert / Kevin), William Troughton (Jim / Tom) and Mark Womack (Dan / Russ). The production opens on 15 April as part of the Made in Colchester Season and runs until 23 April. The Public Theater announced today that Stew and Heidi Rodewald will perform live with the on-stage band for THE TOTAL BENT, playing the guitar and bass, respectively. With text by Stew and music by Stew and Heidi Rodewald, the team behind the Tony Award-wining musical Passing Strange, which premiered at The Public in 2003, this world premiere musical is directed by Joanna Settle. Performances begin Tuesday, May 10 and continue through Sunday, June 12, with an official press opening on Wednesday, May 25.

Sundance Institute today announced the acting company, dramaturgs and creative advisors participating in its pilot Theatre Lab in the MENA region, including Sandra Oh, Hoon Lee, Deanna Dunagan, Hala Omran and Raeda Taha. The Lab, held in Morocco next month, is part of the Institute's international cultural exchange programs for independent artists and will kick off a new, multi-year commitment to support artists from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
