ZERO HOUR, Jim Brochu's acclaimed play about the life of theatre legend Zero Mostel, returns to its original home, opened last night, Wednesday June 14th, at the Theatre at Saint Clement's (423 West 46th Street, between Ninth & Tenth Avenues) for a limited engagement through July 9th only. ZERO HOUR, Jim Brochu's acclaimed play about the life of theatre legend Zero Mostel, will return to its original home, the Theatre at Saint Clement's (423 West 46th Street, between Ninth & Tenth Avenues) for a limited engagement beginning June 2nd and continuing through July 9th only! Opening Night is set for Wednesday June 14th (7pm). The performance runs 90 minutes with no intermission.
Principal photography has begun on the Studio 8 drama, WHITE BOY RICK, which is being produced by LBI Entertainment and Protozoa Pictures.

From what I've gathered, the original production of CARRIE THE MUSICAL would have been a dream project for Bialystock and Bloom, THE PRODUCERS: There's something eyebrow-raising about taking Stephen King's novel CARRIE and drenching it - not just in blood, but in music and lyrics. Evidently, Michael Gore and Dean Pitchford felt up to the task, and with a book by Lawrence D. Cohen, the musical version became a theatrical reality. However, it's a 'slippery slope' they tread: Do you play something like this 'straight' - or do you decide to go in the direction of 'camp'?
