Kareem Bandealy Set for The Gift's OTHELLO

The Gift Theatre has announced that Kareem Bandealy will star as Othello and artistic director and ensemble member Michael Patrick Thornton will play villainous Iago in its production of William Shakespeare's tragedy Othello, directed by Jonathan Berry (Dirty). This marks The Gift Theatre's first Shakespeare production ever mounted in its intimate 40-seat theater and Berry's Shakespearean directorial debut.

Welcome Moss Hart Back to Broadway - Meet the Full Cast of Lincoln Center's ACT ONE, Beginning Tomorrow!

Lincoln Center Theater presents Act One, a play written and directed by James Lapine from the autobiography by Moss Hart. The production is scheduled to begin previews tomorrow night, March 20 and will open on Thursday, April 17 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). In a small rural town where 'nothing interesting happens,' a chunk of meteor lands in farmer Templeton?s chicken coop and changes everything - including the chickens. His friend Ziggy, to whom he sells a souvenir chunk, undergoes a bizarre transformation and is quarantined by the Feds. But this is only part of Yokomori?s surrealistic tale, which echoes Beckett?s Waiting for Godot and Ionesco's Rhinoceros.

Kicking off Asia Week 2014, the historic Bohemian National Hall (BNH) presented its first annual Asia Art Fair and opened with an elegant private reception on Friday, March 14 for VIP guests to get a first look at the exquisite offerings from 27 of the most prestigious galleries from around the world. Joseph Balaz, President of the Bohemian Benevolent and Literary Association, presented a $5000 check to the American Fund for Czech and Slovak Leadership Studies at the opening night benefit of the Asia Art Fair. La Jolla Playhouse's Next 'Without Walls' Production Is EL HENRY, Running 6/14-29

Following its hugely successful Without Walls (WoW) Festival last October, La Jolla Playhouse announces the latest production in its acclaimed site-based theatre series: El Henry, written by and starring Culture Clash's Herbert Siguenza, directed by San Diego REPertory Theatre Artistic Director Sam Woodhouse. Presented in association with San Diego REP, the show will run June 14 - 29 at SILO in downtown San Diego's Makers Quarter. Performances run Tuesday through Sunday at 7:30pm.

THRILL OF THE CHASE Exhibit Opens 3/15 at Art Institute of Chicago

In June of 2013, the Art Institute of Chicago received a monumental gift from Massachusetts collector Dorothy Braude Edinburg: nearly 1,000 works, including approximately 800 prints and drawings spanning 500 years. Now the Art Institute will be exhibiting 96 of these drawings in The Thrill of the Chase: Drawings for the Harry B. and Bessie K. Braude Collection, on view in the museum's Jean and Steven Goldman Prints and Drawing Galleries in the Richard and Mary Gray Wing from March 15 through June 15.

The Art Dealers Association of America- ADAA for acronym lover's, is consistently the classiest and most enjoyable art fair experience every year. Temporarily housed through Sunday in the Park Avenue Armory at 67th street, it is more than the simple things like aisles capable of handling a heard of elephants, good lighting and enough but not too much art and exhibitors that make this a Fun Fair with two capitals.
