ERIC WOOLFSON'S SOMEWHERE IN THE AUDIENCE is set for release today, 18th March 2013 on Limelight Records. The alumb will be released on the anniversary of what would have been the late Eric Woolfson's 68th birthday. 'Somewhere in the Audience' is a compilation of music from four of Eric's musicals 'GAUDI', 'GAMBLER', 'POE' and 'DANCING SHADOWS'.

Es gibt Situationen im Leben, denen man sich als Zuschauer nie ausgesetzt fühlen möchte: einen Film mit Veronica Ferres bis zum bitteren Ende sehen zu müssen, Angela Merkel mit tiefem Dekolleté bei den Wagner Festspielen oder Maria Furtwängler auf einer Theaterbühne. Und dann gibt es Momente, die einem das Blut in den Adern gefrieren lassen: Uwe Kröger 'singt' ein Lied der britischen Sängerin Adele. Der Titel: Skyfall, Ort des Verbrechens: Friedrichstadtpalst Berlin, Anlass: das 25 jährige mumifizierte Bühnenjubiläum des Gespanns Kröger/Douwes. Wann? Gleich zu Beginn des 2.Teils der 'größten Musical Hits' (da passt der zitierte Song aber auch sowas von rein).

In June 2012, she celebrated her 1000th performance as Elphaba in three subsequent production of Wicked: in Stuttgart and Oberhausen (Germany) and in Scheveningen (The Netherlands). On February 12th Willemijn Verkaik will make her Broadway debut and play the green witch for 15 weeks at the Gershwin Theatre.
