There's a battle happening, and this time it's not in Yorktown. The competition part of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids Easter Bonnet Competition fundraising reached a new level last night between the casts of Sunset Boulevard and Hamilton as seen in the video below. 

On Sunday, April 16, SAKS FIFTH AVENUE and President MARC METRICK, in partnership with BROADWAY CARES/EQUITY FIGHTS AIDS, hosted a selection of musical performances from top Broadway shows outside of the retailer's iconic New York flagship during the city's famed EASTER DAY PARADE.

Ali Stroker (who appears in the upcoming ABC drama Ten Days In the Valley which premieres in a few months & stars Emmy Award-winner Kyra Sedgwick) will be honored on Friday, April 21 at Gotham Hall in New York City by her alma mater New York University at the NYU Alumni Association's Annual Awards Luncheon, where she will be celebrated alongside two other distinguished alumni: Academy Award, Tony Award & Pulitzer Prize Award-winner John Patrick Shanley (STEINHARDT '77, HON '09) and attorney Martin Lipton (LAW '55). Stroker will receive the Distinguished Young Alumna Award.

An evening of revelry and friendly rivalry is in the cards for the theatre community when Broadway Bets, Broadway's official poker tournament, returns for its third edition on Monday, May 15, 2017. The event is produced by and benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

At Gypsy of the Year 2016, cast members from The Lion King performed a moving spoken-word piece giving voice to those marginalized by the current political climate performed by cast members Lamar Baylor, Kimberly Marable, Matthew Morgan, Brenda O'Brien and L. Steven Taylor. 

After six dedicated weeks of fundraising, the brightest stars from Broadway and Off-Broadway's biggest hits will share one-of-a-kind performances at the 28th annual Gypsy of the Year competition on Monday, December 5 (4:30 pm) and Tuesday, December 8 (2 pm). The show is produced by and benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

The Fred Ebb Foundation has announced that its 2016 donation to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS will total $1.675 million dollars, bringing the foundation's total contribution to BC/EFA to $13.325 million since it began 12 years ago. The foundation, which is funded by royalties from the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb's vast catalogue of work, makes an annual donation to BC/EFA.

Thirteen of the most strapping men on Broadway will come together to add a little more sexiness and silliness to the holiday season at Ann Harada's festive cabaret, Christmas Eve's Holiday Hunkfest (#hunkfest), on Monday, December 12, 2016.
