Feinstein's/54 Below presents "New Writers at 54: Songs by Julia Meinwald & Gordon Leary" on Sunday, July 30. Julia and Gordon write aggressively empathetic musicals. In the tradition of their shows Pregnancy Pact (Weston Playhouse, 2012) and The Loneliest Girl in the World (Diversionary Theatre, 2018), their three newest musicals explore unlikely (and sometimes unlikeable) characters behaving badly.

Red Bull Theater today announced some of the cast for Red Bull Theater's annual festival of 10-minute plays of heightened language and classic themes featuring two brand new commissions from Lisa D'Amour and Amy Freed, alongside six brand new plays chosen from hundreds of submissions from playwrights across the country.

Signature Theatre presents NIGHT IS A ROOM, written by Residency One playwright Naomi Wallace and directed byBill Rauch. The Dramatists Guild Fund welcomes a slew of stars for their 2015 Gala tonight! As previously announced, actor, musician and Emmy-nominated composer, Darren Criss will host and perform at DGF's annual gala GREAT WRITERS THANK THEIR LUCKY STARS at Gotham Hall (1356 Broadway at 36th Street) this evening, October 26 (cocktail reception at 6:30pm, dinner and celebration at 7:30pm).

Dramatists Guild Fund President Andrew Lippa and Executive Director Rachel Routh announce that actor, musician and Emmy-nominated composer, Darren Criss will host and perform at the annual gala Great Writers Thank Their Lucky Stars on October 26. Joining the previously announced line up are Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth honoring Stephen Schwartz and Mo Rocca honoring Laurence O'Keefe & Nell Benjamin.

Dramatists Guild Fund President Andrew Lippa and Executive Director Rachel Routh announce the lineup for the nonprofit's Gala, Great Writers Thank Their Lucky Stars being held on October 26 at Gotham Hall. The Gala is the most critical fundraising event for the Dramatists Guild Fund, the public charity arm of the Dramatists Guild of America. This very special evening pays tribute to legendary writers and recognizes their significant contributions to American theater.

Last night Barrington Stage Company presented the World Premiere of Engagements by Lucy Teitler and BroadwayWorld was there. Directed by Louisa Proske (BSC debut), Engagements stars (in their BSC debuts) Amanda Quaid (Irish Rep's The Weir) as Lauren, Kate Loprest (First Date) as Allison, Adam Gerber (George Street Playhouse The Whipping Man) as Ryan, Phoebe Strole (Spring Awakening) as Catherine, and Robert David Grant (Yale Rep Hamlet) as Mark.

Barrington Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, will present the sexy, millennial world premiere comedy Engagements by Lucy Teitler, from August 13-30 with a press opening Wednesday, August 19 at 7:30pm.

This month, Musical Theatre Factory (MTF) will partner with NYMF to showcase a series of late night salons featuring the work of over 20 musical theater writers. The writers of five NYMF shows will be participating in the Salon-A-Thon, including the 2015 Next Link Selections 210 Amlent Avenue, Manuel Vs. The Statue of Liberty and The Cobalteans.
