Kaatsbaan Cultural Park Presents Annual Gala Playing Field Dinner

Kaatsbaan Cultural Park presents the full programming for its 2022 Fall Festival, with a host of stars and premieres in the scenic Hudson Valley location. Justin Vivian Bond and Anthony Roth Costanzo’s ‘Only An Octave Apart’, a theatrically musical evening coalescing wildly divergent genres and voices, will get its UK premiere at historic Wilton’s Music Hall - the only surviving Grand Music Hall in the world. ‘Only An Octave Apart’ will play a month-long season from  28 September - 22 October.

Teatro Real Orchestra Will Make its US Debut at Carnegie Hall in September

The Orchestra of Teatro Real (the Royal Opera of Madrid), Spain's national opera house and winner of “Best Opera Company” at the 2021 International Opera Awards, makes its U.S. debut at Carnegie Hall in “A Celebration of Spanish Music” on September 15, 2022 at 8:30 pm. The concert celebrates the music of Spain, with the first half devoted to piano and orchestral music by Falla and Albéniz. 

Review: The Festival d'Avignon Presents ONE SONG By MIET WARLOP

What if Philip Glass led The Ramones? This is as good an introduction as any to Miet Warlop's One Song, which recently premiered in the Festival d'Avignon's Cour du Lycée Saint Joseph. The title, One Song, is more or less accurate, as Warlop presents to the audience how one simple song can transform, hypnotize, and energize. It's an hour-long metaphorical treadmill, neatly paired with a very literal treadmill that singer Joppe Tanghe performs on at a brisk jog for roughly the duration of the piece.
