Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 announced today a new production of THE NOSEBLEED, written and directed by Aya Ogawa, which will begin performances Saturday, July 16 and run for six weeks only through Sunday, August 28 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street).  Opening night is Monday, August 1.

The New-York Historical Society will present the 2022 History Makers Award to opera superstar, arts innovator, and civic leader Anthony Roth Costanzo for his achievements in the performing arts and for his activism. The gala will take place on October 6, 2022, at New-York Historical’s Central Park West home. Pam Schafler, chair emerita of New-York Historical’s Board of Trustees, will be honored with the 1804 Founders Medal for Distinguished Service. Renowned historian and Pulitzer prize-winning author Jon Meacham will deliver the keynote address.

Pam Goldberg and Blair McMillen will present the 11th Season of the Rite of Summer Music Festival, taking place Summer 2022 on Governors Island, New York City. Rite of Summer will present four free outdoor concerts from May through September.

The renowned Kronos Quartet today releases the world premiere recording of Mỹ Lai, the acclaimed opera composed by Jonathan Berger with libretto by Harriet Scott Chessman, on Smithsonian Folkways Recordings.

​​​​​​​Back in full swing, after Covid interruptions, is the Glendale Brand Library and Associates’ annual spring dance series, always curated with love and care by Jamie Nichols, and organized by Art Librarian Erin Herzog on the grounds and at the beautiful Glendale Brand Library. On an absolutely perfect spring day the first in a series of three dance presentations was performed by the formidable Nickerson–Rossi dance company.  The performance was Saturday, May 7, 2022, with a workshop with the Company on Sunday, May 8, 2022. These events are free and open to the public, made possible by the Brand Associates.

Park Avenue Armory will continue its Making Space Public Programming series with Archer Aymes Lost and Found Retrospective: A Juneteenth Exhibition, Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 3pm to 6pm. Audiences explore the legacy of emancipation through an immersive installation and operatic performance.
