Playwright, essayist and famous author of radio drama of the 30s and 40s Norman Corwin, now 100 years young, loved to entertain audiences with light entertainment, including fantasy, that often tackled important social issues, not unlike Orson Welles. He has frequently been referred to as the 'Poet Laureate of Radio'. CART (California Artists Radio Theatre), to celebrate Corwins's 100th birthday on May 3, presented two of his short comedies, both directed sublimely by Peggy Webber, on Saturday, May 29 at the Beverly Garland Theatre in NoHo.

In Bobrick's latest comedy The Psychic, he does not choose anyone famous; on the contrary, he creates a fictitious struggling writer and five ordinary people with quite extraordinary ambitions and goals. Bigger than life, not unlike cartoons, the sextet create one unforgettably entertaining evening of theatre at the Falcon.

The Jim Henson Studios in Hollywood, CA was transformed into an Old Hollywood 1920s Classic Themed Party, replete with breathtaking 20-foot-high Art Deco silver statues and other stunning decorative ornaments from the period, as guests attending the Hollywood Arts Council's Historic Sold-Out 30th Anniversary Black-Tie Gala and 22nd Annual Charlie Awards strolled down a 30-foot-long Red Carpet to a cozy and intimate Outdoor Courtyard Reception and Silent Auction, later followed by an elegant three-course catered Dinner and Awards Show, held on the Jim Henson Studios' Sound Stage on Saturday, March 29, 2008.
