On the heels of winning this year's national TCG Peter Zeisler Award for risk taking and innovation in the American theater, 24th STreet Theatre launches its 15th Anniversary Season with a U.S. premiere. The captivating story of a friendship that spans a lifetime, Rome at the End of the Line (Roma al Final de la Via), written by Daniel Serrano and directed by Alberto Lomnitz, opens tonight, Sept. 15 for a limited run through Oct. 7 in a co-production with Mexico's Viaje Redondo Producciones. All performances will be in Spanish with English supertitles and are appropriate for ages 12 through adult.
The Castillo Theatre continues its presentation of four winning scripts from the 2012 Mario Fratti-Fred Newman Political Play Contest, selected from more than 200 entries including submissions by playwrights from around the world. The plays are being directed by distinguished theatre professionals and the final production plays tonight, August 27 at 7:00 p.m.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG) convened 1,000 theatre practitioners from around the world at its 22nd National Conference June 21-23 in Boston. This year's conference was the culmination of TCG's 50th anniversary and the beginning of TCG's year-round conference and online community, Conference 2.0. The conference theme of Model the Movement invited attendees to transform their field into a movement for the digital age by better sharing, measuring and adapting models of making theatre. Executive Director Teresa Eyring also publically shared for the first time TCG's new vision statement.
