It's an evening of classic 60s pop when Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone and The Buckinghams take the stage in a double bill at Mayo Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, August 1 at 8 pm. Tickets are $39-$79.

A special Sunday, August 6 matinee concert featuring Crystal Gayle, the beautiful diva of country music, has been added to the Spencer Theater's schedule. Boston Pops, Ringo Starr, Randy Newman, Chita Rivera and Tommy Tune, Sutton Foster and A Chorus Line are just a few of the headline events coming to Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) during its 2017-2018 season.

In 1948, four young men created a sound that forever changed the way vocal jazz harmony was heard and performed. The Four Freshmen made their timeless mark by spreading their four voices through a complex range of five chords while also playing instruments, individually switching off and improvising - jazz style.

The Bee Gees have captivated audiences longer than any group in pop music history, a whopping five decades that will forever sparkle with their trademark high harmonies and uniquely blended sound. The extraordinary talent of this band of brothers - Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb - has thrived with tenacious appeal and adaptability through the decades, so much so that paying them close tribute in concert proved impossible... until Stayin' Alive came along.

Headlining the Spencer Theater Summer Season 2017 is the classic country praise music of The Blackwood Quartet and the legendary Larry Gatlin of The Gatlin Brothers on Saturday, May 27 at 8 p.m. (Concert tickets are $39-$69). This promises to be a night of pure western-styled gospel beauty with the Blackwood's favorite Christian melodies like How Great Thou Art, Put Your Hand In The Hand, The Light House, Amazing Grace, Peace In The Valley, and many other gospel classics. Western great Larry Gatlin (pictured above), the eldest of the three Gatlin Brothers and writer of all their greatest hits including All The Gold In California and Houston, holds some of the most prestigious awards in the industry. His showcase of gospel and Gatlin favorites will open the second set of music that night, following The Blackwood Quartet (pictured left). The duo of headliners will then come together in our stage lights for an extended encore of songs.  This special evening is being sponsored in-part by Lynn & Bruce Morgan and Sandra & David Barrett.

2017 finds Richard X. Heyman releasing his twelfth album Incognito - 14 brand-new songs incorporating the many talents of the veteran singer, songwriter, multi- instrumentalist and DIY recording pioneer, including forays into blues, funk and folk alongside his signature melodic pop gems.
