The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs has announced the nominees for the 2010 24th Annual MAC Awards. The ceremony honoring the nominees, will take place on May 4, 2010 at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill, and will be hosted by Sharon McNight. Leslie Uggams will be honored for Lifetime Achievement, with Board of Directors Awards being presented to Peter Leavy and playbill.com. The event will begin at 7:30pm. Doors open at 6:00pm. Lennie Watts will direct the evening, with Tracy Stark musical directing.

After a successful debut December 2009 run of 'We Can Make It: The Songs of Kander & Ebb,' Marquee Five was nominated for a MAC Award under the Vocal Duo/Group category. Marquee Five performs at Don't Tell Mama April 15th at 8:30 pm with a performance of 'We Can Make It,' an exhilarating evening of your favorites from Cabaret, Chicago, Flora the Red Menace, The Rink, and more, including stunning arrangements.

Marquee Five will bring their show 'We Can Make It: The Songs of Kander and Ebb' back to Don't Tell Mama for a repeat performance on February 25th and April 15th. After a successful performance in Decemeber, the group is back to perform classic Kander and Ebb songs from such musicals as Chicago, Cabaret, The Rink and Flora, the Red Menace.

More than 20 of cabaret's brightest stars will be honored at the 25th Annual Bistro Awards which will take place on Tuesday, April 13 at Gotham Comedy Club. Legendary singer-dancer-actress Mitzi Gaynor, star of such films as South Pacific, Les Girls, Anything Goes, and a longtime headliner in Las Vegas and the nightclub circuit, making her first NY night club appearance in years in May at Feinstein's at Loews Regency, will be honored with the Bob Harrington Lifetime Achievement Award. Elaine Stritch, the uniquely sensational actress and singer and star of stage, film, and TV, will be recognized in the category of Extraordinary Cabaret Artist, noting her recent conquests of the cabaret stage.
