Maureen Taylor returns to the Metropolitan Room with her critically acclaimed new show:  TAYLOR MADE : Bob Merrill 2 PERFORMANCES: *** SUN,FEB7 @7PM /*** SAT,FEB13 @5PM

You may not know him by name, but you'll know many of his songs. From "How Much Is That Doggie In The Window" to "People," Bob Merrill's vast OUEVRE spans the" simply to the sublime". Taylor presents songs from musicals such as BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S, THE PRINCE OF GRAND STREET, HANNAH 1939, PRETTYBELLE, NEW GIRL IN TOWN, TAKE ME ALONG, SUGAR, THE RED SHOES and FUNNY GIRL. Specialty material for films, television shows,and club acts for singers including Doris Day, Sarah Vaughan, Eartha Kitt and Patti Page is also highlighted.

With numerous chart hits, novelty songs, a Tony award, and Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations, Bob Merrill WAS AN EXTRAORDINARY COMPOSER WHO celebrated the "ordinary man.".
TAYLOR MADE celebrates the "extrordinary" Bob Merrill!

The show is directed by MAC award winner Peter Napolitano,with musical
direction by Matt Castle accompanied by Joe Brent on guitar,mandolin and violin.

While still fairly new to the NYC Cabaret Scene, (although many may remember her interactive
"Cosmic Cabaret")Taylor is no newcomer to the stage. She has PERFORMED in venues ranging from the Chicago Lyric Opera to the London Palladium. Her many concert appearances in the UK include: Theatre Royal Brighton, Bridewell, Heva Castle, Brighton Pavillion Dome and a recording,"Incantations," with Tim Wheater in Bath.

Taylor met director Peter Napolitano when she was asked to co-host the popular Algonquin Salon.
She met musical director Matt Castle- ages ago at a coaching session.
