The Broadway at Birdland concert series has announced the Birdland debut of the award-winning songwriting team Don and Jeff Breithaupt on Monday, March 2 at 7pm.

The award winning Breithaupt Brothers songwriting team (Don, music; Jeff, lyrics) bring their Breithaupt Brothers Songbook Revue, which normally makes its home at Joe's Pub, to Birdland for the first time as part of Jim Caruso's 'Broadway at Birdland' series.

For a special Birdland engagement, Peter Eldridge, 'a superb musical alchemist,' (Jazz Times) and long-time member of the acclaimed vocal group New York Voices, joined forces with critically acclaimed jazz vocalist Jane Monheit, whose honey-smooth vocals, silky phrasing and natural knack for storytelling have earned her two Grammy nominations and established her as one of her generation's most beloved and accomplished vocalists. For the second year in a row, producers Eugene Dizon and Cory Goodrich have recorded a new album of holiday music, SEASON OF CAROLS 2013, which features nearly one hundred Chicago theatre artists, singers and musicians. This entirely new holiday CD was produced to raise funds for Season of Concern, which supports Chicago artists in need. All Nite Soul, the Jazz Ministry at Saint Peter's will honor pianist Barry Harris and vocalist Sheila Jordan. All Nite Soul begins on Sunday, October 13 at 5 PM with Jazz Vespersand pianist/organist Sarah McLawler and Les Jazz Femmes, and goes into full swing at 7 PM with a concert of over 80 musicians honoring Barry Harris (pianist) and Sheila Jordan (vocalist), National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Masters who began their musical careers in Detroit, Michigan.
