NYU Presents 'Songs for Cabaret Artists,' 3/3

Libra Theater Company presented Songs You Should Know, a concert of new and rarely performed songs by some of today's most prolific music theater writers on Monday, February 6th at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Libra Theater Company will present Songs You Should Know, a concert of new and rarely performed songs by some of today's most prolific music theater writers. Hosted by Jeremy Morse (Drama Desk nominee, Bloodsong of Love) and Jennifer Ashley Tepper (If It Only Even Runs a Minute), Songs You Should Know includes new work from Brad Alexander Sam Carner and Derek Gregor, Joshua H. Cohen and Lavell Blackwell, Bobby Cronin, Adam Gwon, Caleb Hoyer, Joe Iconis, Russ Kaplan and Sara Wordsworth, Pete Mills, and Will Reynolds. The concert will feature performances by Anne Bobby, Alex Brightman, Sarah Corey, Scott Coulter, Matt Dengler, Katrina Rose Dideriksen, J. Austin Eyer, Melanie Field, Blair Goldberg, Jessica Grove, F. Michael Haynie, Jeremy Jordan, MK Lawson, Kevin Michael Murphy, and Jason "SweetTooth" Williams.

New York Innovative Theatre Award Winners Announced

On Monday September 22, 2008, the IT Awards (New York Innovative Theatre Awards), the organization dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, and host Lisa Kron, announced the 2008 recipients at the Fourth Annual IT Awards Ceremony at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Prospect Theater Co's 10th Anniversary Concert Announced

Prospect Theater Company's 10th anniversary concert will be held Sept. 21 at Off-Broadway's 37 Arts. Falsettos' Stephen Bogardus will host the 9 PM concert, which will boast the talents of David Abeles, Jim Bauer, Jennifer Blood, Matt Cavenaugh, Gavin Creel, Jennifer Damiano, Malcolm Gets, Piper Goodeve, Adam Jacobs, Jose Llana, Jeff McCarthy, Meghan McGeary, Mark Mozingo, Brian Munn and Liz Power as well as members of the cast of the upcoming Prospect production of Illyria: Dan Sharkey, Ryan Dietz, Jim Poulos and Tina Stafford. 37 Arts is located in Manhattan at 450 West 37th Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues. 2008 IT Awards Nominees Announced

On July 21, 2008, the IT Awards (New York Innovative Theatre Awards), the organization dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2008 nominees at a standing-room only event at 'Our Lady of Pompeii' located at 25 Carmine Street. The 2008 Nominees were selected from an adjudication pool of over 3,000 artists. Nominees include 127 individual artists, 47 different productions and 40 theatre companies.
