The acclaimed Art of Time Ensemble presents Shakespeare: If Music BeŠ, an evening of music, dance and ideas inspired by Shakespeare that brings together some of Canada's most outstanding artistic talents for this one-of-a-kind event that runs Thursday, December 9 to Saturday, December 11 at 8 pm at Harbourfront Centre's Enwave Theatre, sponsored by BMO Financial.

Albert Schultz, General Director of the Young Centre for the Performing Arts, today announced the return of Dance at the Young this December featuring the world premiere of Young Centre Resident Artist Andrea Nann's Beside Each Other, the Collisions Dance Festival and the critically acclaimed Full Bloom which played to sold-out houses this past January.

The 2010-2011 Necessary Angel season is the company's most ambitious to date.

The Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) announced 176 nominations from 218 eligible productions that opened between June 1, 2008 and May 31, 2009 for the 30th annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards which honour excellence in the performing arts in Toronto.

At a press conference held today at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) announced 176 nominations from 218 eligible productions that opened between June 1, 2008 and May 31, 2009 for the 30th annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards which honour excellence in the performing arts in Toronto.

Performance Space 122 presents the world premiere of Death, a dance-theater piece by solo performance artist Sara Juli that addresses the taboo topic of death. After losing her father tragically to cancer, Juli experienced first-hand our culture's inability to deal with death. She was amazed that something inevitable was so uncomfortable for people who, in particular, seemed to struggle to find the right thing to say and do. In this 50-minute solo performance, Juli uses movement, text, song, gesture, sounds, humor and audience interaction to present a reflection on the awkwardness of death. Juli will be six months pregnant during the performance adding a layer of a piece about death while pregnant with life.

Live at the Hudson Theatre NYC, a benefit evening celebration for acclaimed modern dance company Doug Varone and Dancers, with the legendary icon of Broadway, film and television, Betty Buckley, accompanied by the renowned American Jazz pianist, Kenny Werner. The evening will take place at the historic Hudson Theatre in the Millennium Hotel, located in the heart of Times Square.

The Aquila Theatre Company will present its dance-theatre production of Wells' The Invisible Man from October 21st through November 6th

Richard Daniels -- the 54-year-old dancer/choreographer who began to create a daring, new body of work 10 years ago when he resumed his career in dance after a 15-year absence -- will present his newest concert, RICHARD DANIELS: TELLING TALES for four performances only September 29 to October 2 at Danspace Project (131 E. 10 St.) in Manhattan.
