The innovative Art of Time Ensemble today announced the details of the artists and productions featured in their 2013/14 concert series. With music at the centre of the four original programmes curated by Artistic Director Andrew Burashko, the upcoming series brings together theatre, dance, literature and the visual arts with the widest array of musical styles Art of Time has ever assembled in one season.
DanceWorks, Toronto's longest-running contemporary dance series, proudly presents the world premiere of Akshongay (the Bengali word for 'together') from acclaimed Nova Dance, choreographed and performed by Artistic Director Nova Bhattacharya and long-time collaborator Louis Laberge-Cote. Akshongay has the singular honour of being the 200th DanceWorks Mainstage Series event and runs from Thursday, April 11 to Saturday, April 13 at Enwave Theatre, part of Harbourfront Centre's NextSteps.

After 60 performances under the stars in High Park, Canadian Stage's 30th-anniversary production of A Midsummer Night's Dream set an all-time high attendance record with close to 30,000 audience members visiting the High Park Amphitheatre to see the show. The 2012 production also holds the highest-ever single night attendance for the venue, with 1,268 audience members on the hill for the closing night performance on September 2.
