TimeLine Theatre Company, dedicated to presenting plays inspired by history that connect to today's social and political issues, announces that The How and the Why by Sarah Treem (Netflix's House of Cards, HBO's In Treatment), directed by Keira Fromm and starring Janet Ulrich Brooks and Elizabeth Ledo, will be the third production of its 2013-14 season.

Annapurna, by award-winning playwright Sharr White, is a funny and surprising exploration of love and loss. Emma and Ulysses haven't laid eyes on each other in twenty years. Now she's back, lugging her matching suitcases into his squalid Colorado motor home for a final reckoning that neither of them saw coming. Annapurnabrings husband-and-wife stars Megan Mullally ('Will & Grace') and Nick Offerman ('Parks and Recreation') to the Odyssey Theatre under the guidance of director Bart DeLorenzo, winner of the 2012 TCG Alan Schneider Award.

American Theater Company concludes 2012-2013 Season with a revised remount of Speech & Debate, written by Stephen Karam, and directed by Artistic Director PJ Paparelli. Speech & Debate will run May 10 - June 23, 2013, at American Theater Company, 1909 W Byron St, Chicago, IL. Press opening is Monday, May 13, at 7:00 pm.

This delightfully joyous dramatization of the beloved story of Peter Rabbit is brought to life by young Beatrix Potter age 13, a lonely yet imaginative girl who spends her day sketching and creating stories about the animals she studies.

Category 7 in association with La Salle Academy and Nativity Mission announces the cast and creative team for Stand-Up Tragedy, Bill Cain's searing 1991 play about a Lower East Side middle school, where an idealistic young teacher sets out to save one of his students from an abusive family and the streets. Directed by Nicholas Minas, performances begin at Nativity Church (44 2nd Avenue - between 2nd & 3rd Streets) tonight, April 12, 2013 and will continue through May 4.

Miami, 1986. Divorced and over 60, substitute teacher Dorothy Zbornak is spending another lonely Friday night playing Scrabble with her mother, Sophia. With the help of her roommates, the slutty Blanche Devereaux and the phenomenally stupid Rose Nylund, she is determined to land herself a man, or at the very least, a date. But with the revelation that Rose's idiot exterior is actually a cover for a cocaine distribution mastermind, the ladies are suddenly plunged into a blood-soaked world of drugs, guns, and cheesecake.

Raven Theatre's 30th season continues with Rebecca Gilman's dark drama, Boy Gets Girl. Two opening nights are scheduled for Sunday, January 20 at 7:00 p.m. and Monday, January 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Raven Theatre, 6157 N. Clark.
